Player Evaluation Day Info

Purpose

For AA thru Majors divisions (including Juniors, if applicable), Evaluations Day is designed to give the players a chance to demonstrate their skill level to the Managers in their respective division. The goal is for the Managers to have a chance to evaluate all players, but, particularly those who are new to the league or new to baseball. With this information, Managers can draft teams that are fairly balanced with player skill level, leading to a competitive, fun, Little League season.

  • Evaluations do not apply to T-Ball or A division (or any division that has only one team).
  • All players will be placed on a team, this is not a 'tryout'!
  • Encourage your player to Have Fun, Play Hard, and Be a Good Sport!
  • Please note, there will be a wide range of skill levels on any given field and a player may be placed in a different division than they registered/were evaluated for, based on registration numbers, safety concerns, age, or skill set.

Date & Time

Date is typically in Mid January and between 9am and 1pm. across 2 session. Players are assigned a session, league will notify you of their assigned session. Please see our league schedule for exact date, or contact us with questions [email protected]

Check-in

Players will Check-In at the ULL Snack Shack and receive their player number based on their registration division and league age. Players will then report to their registration division field (AA, AAA, Majors) for evaluations. Evaluations will last roughly 90 minutes (possibly up to 2 hours for larger groups).

If you have not already had your child's Little League requirements for Player Verification & League Qualification done, please bring them at this time. This includes age verification, and league boundary qualification. That info can be found here: Age & League Verification Info. If you have not already submitted your volunteer collateral, we will be collecting it at Evaluations Day in the form of either a $500 check or credit card authorization. Just like last year, every family is required to provide volunteer collateral in order for their child to receive their uniform. If your family completes their required volunteer hours, the $500 collateral will be returned or securely shredded.

Volunteers needed

If you’re interested in volunteering to help support the day, please look out for details from the league or contact our Volunteer coordinator: [email protected].

What players should bring:
